One-component polyurethane sealant cures on exposure to atmospheric moisture and needs no on-site mixing. It suits small-to-medium jobs, tight schedules and touch-up work: roof division joints, secondary utility tunnel joints, basement detailing, and sealing of bolt holes and grout holes in tunnels.

Installation
- Clean dust and oil from the substrate; place a foam backer in the joint to control depth.
- Cut the nozzle to the design joint width, load the cartridge and extrude at a steady rate.
- Tool the surface with a spatula and let it cure with atmospheric moisture.
- Deep joints need a backer or layered application — keep each layer to 5–8 mm so the interior does not stay uncured.
- No rain or water for 24 hours after application.
FAQ
One-component is ready to gun straight from the cartridge with no mixing, which suits small joints, patch repairs and fast-turnaround sites. Two-component cures faster and reaches higher strength, which suits large-volume expansion joint sealing. One-component cures on atmospheric moisture, so the bead must not be too thick — apply in layers if deep.
A common cartridge is 600 ml (about 750 g). For a 10 mm × 10 mm joint one cartridge covers roughly 8–10 m; larger joints use more. Estimating formula: kg per metre ≈ width × depth × density (1.1–1.2) ÷ 1000.
Three common causes: (1) air too dry or too cold — below 40% RH or below 5 °C cure is very slow; (2) the bead is too thick, so the interior cures slowly — apply in layers; (3) expired or badly stored product (shelf life is usually 6–12 months, sealed, at 5–25 °C in a cool dry place).
